Three dead, over 35 injured in road mishaps

LAHORE: At least three people, including two children, were killed and more than 35 others injured in separate road accidents in different areas of Punjab on Saturday.

According to police, a car fell into a gorge after being hit by an over-speeding truck at Jumper Road in Changa Manga area of the Kasur district. Three people, including two siblings, were killed with two others injured in the incident.

Meanwhile, at least 25 people were injured in a collision between two buses on the Lahore Road in Sheikhupura.

Five people, including a woman, were seriously injured when three motorcycles smashed into each other on Hijra Road Cheena in Chunian.

Six people were injured when an over-speeding passenger bus turned turtle in Saloni Jhal Chowk area of Faisalabad.

The casualties of all accidents were shifted to different hospitals of respective areas and the police after registering separate cases into all incidents at police stations concerned have started an investigation.
