PM will be responsible if anything happens to Nawaz: Marriyum

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Friday that Prime Minister Imran Khan will be responsible if anything happened to party supremo Nawaz Sharif.

“The sickening political circus and derogatory behaviour of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government can only be described as shallow and shameful,” she said and added the ruling party needs to answer for its “vengeful politics”.

The approach of scoring political points over medical condition of a thrice prime minister is the lowest any political party has ever stooped, she said and added that the PTI-led Punjab government must also be held answerable for digressing from the treatment advised for Nawaz by the medical board.

“Why was Nawaz sent to Services Hospital instead of Cardiology when the doctors had clearly told that he needed medical attention for his cardiac issues? Why did it take four days for the Punjab government to shift him to the relevant hospital after needlessly keeping him at Services?”

The purpose of this entire exercise, she added, was to “incur mental torture” to Nawaz, his family and millions of supporters.
