LAHORE: An accountability court (AC) on Friday withdrew the show-cause notices issued to four National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials over dereliction of conduct on the occasion of Abdul Aleem Khan’s appearance in the court on February 7.
As per the details, the NAB officials concerned, including wing director, case officer, security deputy director and investigation officer, appeared before AC Judge Syed Najamul Hassan Bukhari in response to the show-cause notices.
The officials tendered an unconditional apology over their conduct and promised to be careful in future.
At this, the court withdrew the notices and directed the officials to exercise caution in future.
The court had issued notices to the officials over producing former Punjab senior minister Abdul Aleem Khan in the court through the judges’ compound without any prior intimation.
The step not only caused inconvenience to judges of the special courts, but also damaged plants and the rear door of the compound. Workers of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had also gathered near the chambers of the judges and raised political slogans.
