LAHORE: Light rain in the provincial capital and adjoining areas during the wee hours of Wednesday brought the mercury further down. Rain was also reported in other cities of Punjab.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the current rain spell will continue for another 24 hours.
Widespread rain-thunderstorms are expected in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat divisions, northeast Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions), Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, the Met Office said.
The minimum and maximum temperatures on Wednesday were recorded at 11°C and 18°C, respectively.
