Filmmaker Karan Johar and Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul are being sued for sexist comments made during a December episode of Koffee With Karan.

According to India Today, the case has been filed in Jodhpur, but it is not clear at this point who has filed it.

During the episode, Pandya, in response to a question by KJo about why he doesn’t remember the names of the women he meets at nightclubs said, “I like to watch and observe how they move. I’m little from the Black side so I need to see how they move.”

He also shared that he openly identifies the women he sleeps with to his parents: “At a party, my parents asked me acha tera wala (women) kaun sa hai (Which are your women)? I said yeh, yeh, yeh (pointing out women) and they were like ‘Waah, proud of you beta’,” Pandya claimed.

After receiving a severe backlash about his comments on social media, Pandya issued an apology and the episode was also removed from the streaming platform Hotstar.

Both cricketers were briefly suspended by the Indian cricket board for the Australia ODI series and one New Zealand ODI, but their ban was lifted on January 24 with Pandya returning to play against New Zealand and KL Rahul for India A against England Lions.
