All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Tuesday thanked Pakistan government for the “generous and continuous support” it has lent to the Kashmiri cause.
Farooq made this comment in a video message he uploaded on Twitter. He vowed that the Kashmiris will continue to struggle for a sovereign state.

Meanwhile, he criticised Indian forces for their “systematic oppression and human rights infringements” in the valley as events are being held all over Pakistan to support the Kashmiris’ fight for freedom.
He drew attention to the “persecution of Kashmiri citizens who are forced to take up arms and are forced to forgo their future in order to adopt an undesirable way of life instead”.
He lamented that Kashmiris have to lift up the dead bodies of their beloved every day who are martyred in the fight for freedom.
