India should not consider Kashmir a tidbit to swallow: Musharraf

DUBAI: Former president Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday said that India should not consider Kashmir as a tidbit.

In his message on Kashmir Solidarity Day, the former president said that freedom struggle in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) will not go waste. He also said that the day is not far off when the blood of martyrs will bear fruit because tyranny is doomed to perish.

“I condemn in strongest terms Indian brutalities and callousness in IOK. India should not consider Kashmir a tidbit to swallow. The criminal silence of United Nations and the international community over bloodshed of people of Kashmir is highly condemnable,” he underlined.

He stated that India cannot perpetuate its illegal occupation of Kashmir. Kashmiris are authoring the history of their freedom with their blood, he added.

“We are with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters wholeheartedly. We are with them till the last drop of our blood. During my government, we had reached close to the resolution of Kashmir issue but unluckily, the circumstances did not support us. The day is not far off when India will kneel down before the spirit and sacrifices of people of Kashmir,” he asserted.
