LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Tuesday that the country would achieve economic self-reliance owing to the firm determination of the government under the leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.
“Provision of basic facilities of life to the people as well as the solution to their problems is the top-most priority of the government,” he said and added that national interests, instead of personal ones, would be served by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The chief minister said that the government was taking concrete steps for the welfare of the masses because nothing was dear to it more than the welfare and the prosperity of the people.
“Regrettably, the past rulers ignored the genuine problems of the people and national resources were wasted on exhibitory projects. In fact, past governments are responsible for the deteriorated conditions of the economy.”
He said that PM Imran and his team are making efforts to improve the national economy and the people are hopeful for a bright future due to the politics of honesty and transparency.
