ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that if Prime Minister Imran Khan is wary of consultation with opponents, he should contact Ishaq Dar, Miftah Ismail, Shahid Khaqan and Ahsan Iqbal away from the public eye to make plans for ending the economic crisis.

Responding to PM Imran’s tweet, Marriyum said that the national economic crisis won’t be resolved by tweeting about it. “It would take collective wisdom to formulate a way out the hole the current government has dug the country into,” he said.

The former info minister said that the prime minister should give up his egocentricity and fear of Shehbaz Sharif by calling a National Assembly session to find the best solution to the rapidly exacerbating state of economy.

“At a time when the local debt is shooting above 25 billion dollars and the foreign debt is touching 100 billion dollars, the country’s leader should not make the entire country suffer to serve his ego,” she said. “The government should call an All Parties Conference on the issue. Opposition members would not shy away from helping the government.”
