RAWALPINDI: The Health Department has approved an anti-dengue plan for this year for Rawalpindi and the campaign will be commenced from February 15.
According to media reports, the provincial food authority has also been included in the new anti-dengue plan.
Under this plan, a door-to-door and shop-to-shop checking will be conducted to discover dengue larva. The teams will be set up in all union councils and cantonment area to engage the citizens.
At the onset of the spring season, a toxic spray will be done on the poisonous herbs apart from the chemical spray in still water.
The focus will be placed on Pirwadhai, IG Principle Road, Islamabad Expressway, Khanna and Rawat areas. The special dengue wards and counters will be set up in the Allied Hospital during the month of June.
