LAHORE: Punjab Tourism Development Corporation (TDCP) has completed all arrangements for the four-day Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally scheduled to begin on February 14.

TDCP started holding the rally in the majestic desert of Cholistan back in 2005 with an aim to promote motorsports in Pakistan and encourage winter tourism in southern Punjab.

Speaking to media on Friday, Punjab Minister for Tourism Raja Humayon Yasir Sarfraz said all arrangements had been completed and women drivers were also participating in the rally.

“The route of the rally has been extended to more than 450km in the Cholistan Desert, covering Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar districts. Dingarh Fort, Marrot Fort, Khan Garh, Bhijnot Fort, Moujgarh Fort and Jamgarh Fort have also been included to the route to catch the attention of tourists.”

He added that TDCP was providing an excellent platform for a unique travel experience to witness the rich history and culture of Cholistan along with a sensational rally.
