ISLAMABAD: Ahmed Saya, a Pakistani teacher from Karachi, has won the Cambridge University’s ‘Dedicated Teacher Awards 2019’.
According to a report quoting the Cambridge University Press website, he was among six teachers shortlisted for the award from across the globe by an esteemed panel of educationists.
The winner was selected through an online poll conducted by the Cambridge University where students were required to vote for the ‘World’s Most Dedicated Teacher’.
Saya is currently teaching A-level students at the Cordoba School in Karachi. He is one of six teachers from across the world shortlisted for the award this year.
Other than Saya, others shortlisted for the award include Abhinandan Bhattacharya from India, Anthony Chelliah from Sri Lanka, Australia’s Candice Green, Jimrey Dapin from the Philippines and Malaysia’s Sharon Kong Foong.
