ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) directed authorities on Friday to remove name of former National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) chairman Tariq Malik from the no-fly-list who is facing accusations of illegal appointments.
Justice Amir Farooq heard the case for removing Tariq Malik’s name from Exit Control List (ECL) when the accused appeared before the court.
Justice Farooq ordered concerned authorities to remove Malik’s name from ECL.
Tariq Malik was included in the no-fly-list over accusations of making illegal appointments in NADRA due to directions by former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan instead of on merit.
On the other hand, a district and sessions court in Islamabad accepted bail plea of the former NADRA head with Malik released on interim-bail. The accused was also facing charges of hiding his dual-nationality.
