ISLAMABAD: Former Supreme Court judge Sayed Zahid Hussain assumed the charge as Consultant (Legal Affairs) in the President’s Secretariat (Public) on Friday.
Justice Sayed Zahid Hussain graduated in law from the Punjab University Law College, Lahore, and joined the profession in 1972. He was elevated as Lahore High Court judge in May 1998.
Hussain was appointed as the Lahore High Court chief justice in 2008, a position which he held till his elevation as a Supreme Court judge in 2009.
He has held the portfolios of Punjab Judicial Academy chairman, board member of Federal Judicial Academy and Justice Commission of Pakistan, and acting Punjab governor.
