Saying that he was new to the job and still getting to know the ropes, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said he now understands that stealing the IG Punjab’s lunch and giving him a wedgie was not prime Chief Ministerial behaviour.
“You learn something new on the job everyday, that’s kind of my favourite part about this gig” he said speaking to media persons after a video circulated of him giving Punjab’s top cop Amjad Javed Saleemi a wedgie.
In the video, the Chief Minister can be seen proceeding to kick the IGP to the ground, point towards him and laugh. He then went on to seemingly steal Saleemi’s tiffin in which he had brought a home-cooked lunch.
“There’s always going to be times when you mess up or do something embarrassing, but Saleemi is a good friend and a good sport. He really doesn’t mind a little rough housing” the CM went on to say.
“I have already learned that shaking hands is the polite thing to do. I think I am also on the verge of stopping myself from stealing people’s’ lunches” he added, staying mum on whether this new courtesy would also extend to wedgies.
