Sindh govt not happy with ‘political activities’ of governor

KARACHI: Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister (CM) on Information, Law and Anti-corruption, Barrister Murtaza Wahab has strongly reacted to the political activities of the Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and advised him to stay away from “conspiracies against the provincial government”.

“All such conspiracies were bound to fail as they have in the past,” he said while talking to media persons at his office on Thursday.

He said that the governor’s office was not political and said that the governor should keep himself confined to his constitutional responsibilities and play an active role for the rights of the province including the National Finance Commission (NFC) award, gas and water share from the federal government.

The advisor said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was the creation of an accident and those who had joined the party had a dubious political loyalty, adding that many PTI lawmakers were in contact with the provincial government.

Barrister Murtaza Wahab further said that wishes to topple the Sindh government were nothing but daydreams. “We were committed to not promoting horse trading in politics,” he said.

He said that the PTI government has no clear policy for pulling the country out of crises and added that they have found the PTI government to be confused regarding every issue the country is facing during the last six months.
