LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Information & Culture Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan said on Thursday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government would complete its five-year tenure no matter what members of the Opposition say.

“We will steer the country out of the mess created by past rulers and lead it to the path of progress and prosperity,” he said while speaking to media persons outside Kot Lakhpat Jail.

Reacting to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah’s statements, Chohan said, “He [Sanaullah] is involved in the killings of innocent citizens in Model Town. He can see what is coming to him and so is spitting venom against us.”

The info minister said that a new joint investigation team (JIT) had been constituted to probe the 2014 Model Town tragedy and facts would soon be revealed.
