AIDS Control Programme working without programme manager

KARACHI: Sindh AIDS Control Programme (SACP) has been working without a programme manager for two weeks, following the retirement of Dr Younis Chachar, sources at SACP told PPI on Thursday.

The Sindh health department has failed to announce the name of a new provincial programme manager despite the lapse of almost two weeks. All the administrative affairs have been badly affected throughout the province after Chachar’s retirement on January 19, 2019.

Sources further said that a summary had been moved to the provincial minister for health for the appointment of a permanent programme manager and a notification in this regard is likely to be issued soon.
