ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) led by its President Ahmed Hassan Moughal said that delay in the completion of Islamabad High Court (IHC) building was delaying the process of shifting of district courts from F-8 Markaz and called upon the government to take measures for early completion of IHC building and issue funds for this purpose.
This was said during the delegation’s visit to Islamabad District Bar Association (IDBA) on Wednesday to congratulate the newly elected President Chaudhry Khanzada and other office bearers.
He said that the completion of IHC building would pave way for the shifting of district courts from F-8 to the existing place of IHC.
He said the existence of district courts and lawyers’ chambers in F-8 was creating problems for business activities in one of the big commercial centers of Islamabad and early completion of IHC building was the only option to solve this issue.
Ahmed Hassan Moughal said that close cooperation between ICCI and IDBA would be helpful in addressing the common issues of lawyers and traders. He assured that ICCI would fully cooperate with IDBA in achieving the common interests of traders and lawyers.
Speaking at the occasion, IDBA President Chaudhry Khanzada said that ICCI has always cooperated with IDBA which was very encouraging. He assured that IDBA would provide all possible support for resolving the issues highlighted at the occasion.
