ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry on Wednesday allowed Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz to travel abroad, according to media reports.
“Hamza had filed a one-time travel request. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader had also submitted the request before a court in Lahore,” sources in the Interior Ministry informed.
Earlier, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader had been granted approval for travelling to a foreign country for 10 days by the Lahore High Court (LHC).
A one time permit to travel across the border allows one to remain out of the country for a duration that lasts from 10 to 15 days.
It is pertinent to mention here that the PML-N leader’s name was placed on the Exit Control List (ECL) on the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) request.
