SWAT: The police on Wednesday foiled a bid to smuggle a huge quantity of hashish and arrested a drug pusher in connection with the case.
Police said that it started the snap checking of vehicles on a tip-off and during the search of a suspected vehicle in the suburbs of Swat’s main town, 190 kilograms of hashish was recovered, promting the police to arrest the man in the car who was a drug peddler.
“The recovered hashish was being smuggled from Swat to other districts of KP but timely action foiled the bid,” the police claimed.
The police impounded the vehicle along with the recovered drug and after registering a case against the detainee, have started an investigation.
