The performance of over 20 ministries of Punjab has been declared unsatisfactory by a Planning and Development (P&D) Board report issued Monday.
The report on the performance of the ministries will be presented to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to the report, the performance of the ministry of Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid is 33% while that of Punjab Senior Minister Aleem Khan’s ministry is 21%.
Among others, the performance of Punjab Minister for Higher Education Raja Yasir Humayun’s ministry is 31%, that of Minister for Social Welfare & Baitul Maal Muhammad Ajmal’s ministry is 37% and the performance of Irrigation Minister Mohsin Leghari’s ministry is 38%.
The report further stated that the performance of Food Minister Samiullah Chaudhry’s ministry is 39%.
While the performance of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ministers has been declared disappointing, it merits a mention here that PM Imran had in October given Punjab cabinet members two months to show performance or be prepared to leave.
Addressing the cabinet members in Lahore, the premier had warned them to improve their respective ministries’ performance or face consequences.
