CM Buzdar says resources being provided to ensure quality education

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Sunday that the government was working on a solid strategy to reform education sector under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He said that every needful resource was being utilised to provide maximum facilities to students and to promote quality education across the province, asserting that provision of better educational environment to students was a responsibility of the government.

Huge funds had also been allocated for provision of basic facilities in schools, and revolutionary steps were also being taken to make the youth independent, he said and hoped that education sector’s reform programme would have far-reaching results and lay the basis of New Pakistan, according to a handout issued here.

The chief minister was of the view that equipping our youth with the latest knowledge could help attain the development of country.

“Our youth is a precious asset and bright future of Pakistan. Therefore, making them independent through vocational education is a need of the hour. Since professional and vocational education has great importance, we are focused on its promotion among the youth,” he added.

The CM said that promotion of education sector was the basis for development of any country and it was the only way to tackle issues like poverty, ignorance and unemployment.

WELFARE OF UNDERPRIVILEGED PEOPLE:

Managing Director of Pakistan Baitul Maal Sardar Aun Abbas called on CM Buzdar. While conversing at this moment, the chief minister said that the government of PTI gives utmost preference to the welfare of underprivileged people.

“Effective strategy is being implemented in order to include these people in the development loop,” he said and added that the welfare of the people is responsibility as well as obligation of the government.

He said that the Punjab government will set up shelter home in every district and assignment of identification of land in this regard will be completed at the earliest.

Buzdar further said that the country-wide welfare department, Baitul Maal, gives a shoulder to less privileged segments of the society, saying that it provides people with free medical facilities. He said that the performance of Baitul Maal is appreciable.

While talking at this occasion, Abbas said that the restoration of the underprivileged segment of the society is his prime focus and “I am working with the passion of bringing pleasant changes in their lives.”

He said that the task assigned by Prime Minister Imran Khan will be fulfiled as a national duty.
