Alleged robber injured in police encounter in Karachi

KARACHI: An alleged robber was injured during a police encounter in Clifton area of the provincial capital on Sunday.

According to rescue sources, two robbers aged between 22 and 32 years were looting people at gunpoint near Punjab Chowrangi.

A police team reached the scene after receiving information regarding the incident.

The robbers opened fire as the police arrives at the site.

During an exchange of fire, a robber identified as Sohail suffered injuries while his accomplice managed to flee.

The police also recovered a pistol, bullets and a motorbike from the arrested robber.

He was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment.
