#FaadiKoKhilaoBC misread

(Disclaimer: this is a work of fiction. Learn to take a joke; you’ll live longer.)

LAHORE – The production of the official anthem for the fourth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is a result of a massive misunderstanding on the part of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), The Dependent can confirm.

The anthem, Khel Deewano Ka, sung by Fawad Khan, has been met with negative reviews at large, with many on social media criticising the choice of vocalist.

Documents, and audio files of relevant conversations between PCB and PSL officials, conclusively reveal that the choice was a result of a gross misunderstanding on the part of PCB officials.

As it turns out, Fawad Khan was chosen as the singer for the anthem, after the regular trending of the #FaadiKoKhilaoBC hashtag, which has represented the demand of the entire nation.

The Dependent, which has been at the forefront of spreading the hashtag and reiterating what the nation wants, is equally perplexed at how the PCB completely misread the demand. The movement has, therefore, taken another hit at the hands of the PCB.

Meanwhile, sources close to Fawad Alam, the Faadi that the nation has been urging the PCB to select for a decade, reveal that the left-handed batsman has resigned to the fate that he is not even the PCB’s preferred Faadi – or Fawad – anymore, let alone being atop any other selection list.
