ISLAMABAD: Turkey deported seven Pakistanis on Wednesday for illegally trying to enter the country. They were sent back on flight TK-710 where Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) received them at the New Islamabad International Airport.

After checking, FIA cleared five men and arrested two, namely Munawar Hussain and Asad Abbas.

Last year, the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell of the FIA arrested eight passengers who were deported by Turkey.

In 2016, 25 would-be immigrants from Pakistan were deported by Turkish authorities.

The deportees possessed valid emergency passports, FIA officials said.
