PM Imran to chair cabinet meeting on mini-budget

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday held a meeting with senior leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at the Parliament House.

PM Imran is also set to head a special session of the federal cabinet today to pass an approval for the mini-budget and export promotion package.

Finance Minister Asad Umar is expected to brief members of the cabinet on the two issues. The export promotion package and the mini-budget will then be discussed during a parliamentary meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

According to reports, the premier will be present during the National Assembly session today.

Owing to the two day visit by the premier to Qatar, the release of the mini-budget was delayed.

“The mini-budget we will take measures to lower consumption and increase investment,” Asad Umar said.

The Finance Bill will highlight benefits of investment and ease of doing business,” he added.
