LAHORE: A teenage girl was allegedly gang-raped by six men in Lahore on Monday.
The 17-year-old girl had ran away from her home in Sialkot to meet a man identified as Zahid, hoping to marry him, police said.
However, Zahid took her to Lahore’s Hadyara to meet his friends. According to reports, the men were intoxicated and raped her.
The girl was later shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
Investigation into the incident has been launched after police obtained the medical reports.
A First Information Report (FIR) under section 376-A has been registered against Zahid and five others.
Raids are underway to track and arrest the six suspects.
