Pakistan defeated South Africa in first One Day International (ODI) and with that victory, the green shirts have now most wins among the Asian cricket teams against Proteas on their home ground.
In a Facebook post, cricket writer Saif wrote about the record of Asian teams in South Africa. “With yesterday’s win over South Africa, Pakistan records most number of wins among Asians in South Africa vs South Africa (It was Pakistan’s 11th ODI win in SA vs SA),” he wrote, further sharing the record he shared the chart:
Most Wins vs SA away:
Pakistan: 11 in 30 games.
India: 10 in 34 games.
Sri Lanka: 7 in 28 games.
Pakistan already had better w/l ratio but had 10 wins shared with India.
The writer further wrote that Pakistan have also the best record against Australia and New Zealand on their home grounds among Asian teams.
Sharing the date, he wrote: “Pakistan is also the most successful Asian side in Australia and also in New Zealand.

Pakistan: 17 wins, 37 losses in 56 games.
Sri Lanka: 16 wins, 39 losses in 56 games.
India: 13 wins, 36 losses in 51 games.
In New Zealand:
Pakistan: 15 wins, 31 losses in 49 games.
Sri Lanka: 12 wins, 28 losses in 43 games.
India: 10 wins, 21 losses in 34 games.
