LAHORE: At least 22 outlaws including drug pushers were arrested here besides recovery of arms, ammunition, drugs and five stolen motorcycles.
According to details, in the wake of surge in crimes, the police conducted operation against outlaws in Chichawatni city and suburbs.
During operations, the police arrested 22 criminals including drug pushers, recovered arms, ammunitions 400 liters of liquor and five stolen bikes from their possession.
KITE-FLYING:
The police have arrested 38 persons along with kite-flying material from different parts of Faisalabad during last 24 hours.
Police spokesman told APP here Sunday, in a special crackdown against kite-flying the police nabbed 38 youngsters and recovered dozens of kites and bundles of chemically coated strings from their possession from Ghulam Muhammad Abad, Raza Abad, Mansoorabad, Muhammad Pura and other areas along with kite-flying material.
The arrested were identified as Muhammad Azeem, Rufi, Ashir, Ismaeel, Sghafqat, Usman, Abdus Salam, Rizwan, Abdur Rehman, Mohsan Ali, Abdul Aleem, Rehmat Ali, Ali Raza, Babar, Jawadul Hasan, Nadeem, Haidar Ali, Ahmad Raza, Anas, Hamza, Mohsan Ali, Qasim Ali, Ali Raza, Ahsan, Ali Hasan, Azhar, Rizwan, Asif, Abid Ali, Ghulam Mustafa, Hamid Saleem, Haroon, Zahid Iqbal, Danish Masih, Zaheer, Aslam and Hammad.
DRUGS PUSHERS:
Police on Sunday arrested four drugs pushers and recovered 2.640kg of heroin, 1.480kg of hashish and 20 litre liquor from their possessions.
According to police, they arrested Afzal, a drug pusher from Imam Sahid Chowk, and recovered 1.340kg of heroin from him. The police also arrested two other drug pushers Gulshan Mabeen and Rizwan and recovered 1.300kg of heroin and 1.480kg of hashish respectively from their possessions. They also arrested Waqas and recovered 20-litre liquor from him.
Police have registered separate cases against them and started investigations.
