ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani said on Saturday that he has submitted a report to the federal government regarding the proposed changes to bring improvement in different sports.
Mani, who is also the chairman of the Task Force on Sports, said the report envisages recommendations pertaining to the betterment of the structure and governance of different games.
The PCB chief said they will have to professionalise sports and introduce such a system which ensures accountability as well as the development of necessary infrastructure. He said, “We have to promote games at the school level.”
Mani said he is in contact with the cricket playing nations to come to Pakistan and play international cricket.
On the On the Pakistan Super League (PSL), he said eight matches of the fourth edition will be held in Pakistan. He said star players like AB De Villiers have expressed their readiness to play in Pakistan.
The PCB chief said the security situation stands improved in the country and “our effort is that all the matches of the PSL are played within Pakistan in the next few years.”
He said the board wants to bring cricket back to the country.
