A boy, who had gone missing from Lahore 10 years ago, has been reunited with his family, a private media outlet reported Saturday.
Reports quoted DSP Tahir Anis as saying that Ali Haider of Jhelum had gone to Lahore in search of his mother after his parents had separated 10 years ago. He was kidnapped and forced into bonded labour at a cattle farm.
Haider, however, managed to escape his captors and went to Karachi.
Haider says he only remembered that his father lived near the banks of the Jhelum river and his name was Ghulam Hussain.
He was helped by a man he found in Karachi a week ago. The man contacted Rawalpindi Special Police Branch which helped Haider reunite with his father.
