LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Friday that instead of deceiving the people by launching exhibitory projects, public welfare programmes have been started by the incumbent government to ensure all-inclusive development.

“It is regrettable that basic needs of the people were ignored in the past but the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has particularly focused on durable development of the social sector,” he said while speaking to different delegations at his office.

He said that institutions will be strengthened and empowered in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the government believed in adopting practical steps for public welfare. “The government is utilising all-out resources to provide best facilities to the masses.”

The chief minister said that a solid foundation of the prosperity of the people had been laid, adding that most modern health and educational facilities were the fundamental right of every citizen.

“The people of the province are my only asset and midnight oil is being burnt to solve their problems. I am always available for the people,” he added.

Buzdar said that difficulties of the general public were being solved on a priority basis and providing facilities to the citizens was a responsibility the government would fulfil in the best manner.

“Punjab and the entire country will be transformed under the leadership of PM Imran and departmental reforms are being introduced to provide relief to the people. We have come to power to serve the masses and will prove this with our performance,” he concluded.
