THAILAND: Pakistan on Friday qualified for the semifinal of the 19th Asian Junior Squash Championship after defeating Thailand 3-0 in their last pool match.
Hamza Khan beat Vassipol (11-1, 11-3 and 11-0), Farhan Hashmi defeated Waritpol (11-0, 11-0 and 11-0) while Abbas Zeb sent Abbas Abdullah packing (11-2, 11-2, 11-0).
Earlier, Pakistan stunned its regional rivals Korea and India in early matches on the opening day of the tournament.
The green shirts will now play the semifinal against Hong Kong on Saturday.
