ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry said on Thursday that outgoing chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar converted the struggle for supremacy of the Constitution, rule of law and fundamental human rights into a movement.
On the eve of retirement of Justice Saqib Nisar, Fawad paid tribute to him by saying that he ended the sense of helplessness among the common man and strengthened the masses trust in the institution of superior judiciary.
During his tenure as chief justice, Fawad said, powerful people had undergone the process of accountability. He said that Justice Saqib Nisar launched the great mission of construction of water reservoirs in the country and the government would accomplish that mission.
