ISLAMABAD: The syndicate of Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) discussed 100 agenda items and reviewed various administrative matters in its 173rd meeting held here on Thursday.
QAU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Muhammad Ali presided over the meeting.
The meeting confirmed the proceedings of the 172nd meeting of the Syndicate and approved the proceedings of the Finance and Planning and Academic Council meetings.
The members also approved the recommendations of the 135th meeting of the Selection Board and a proposal regarding establishment of Directorate of Students’ Affairs at QAU.
The meeting was attended by Member National Assembly (MNA) Raja Khurram Nawaz, Dr Ghulam Raza Bhatti, Higher Education Commission (HEC) member Dr Samina Amin Qadir, Rawalpindi Fatima Jinnah Women University (VC) Prof Dr Sayed Wiqar Ali Shah, QAU senior dean, QAU Professor Tasawar Hayat QAU Dr Zafar Nawaz Jaspal, QAU Registrar Dr Shafiq-ur-Rehman, and Ministry of Education’s additional secretary.
