TV anchorperson Mansoor Ali Khan on Wednesday bashed a “Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporter” for tweeting fake news about his wife, Saba Mansoor’s death.
The now-deleted tweet of the “PTI supporter” stated that “Anchor Mansoor Ali Khan’s wife passed away and despite differences, we as Muslims should condole with the grieving family. May Allah grant her the highest place in Jannah. Ameen.”
Following this, the anchor dismissed the news on his social media and said that “He is a supporter of PTI and his job is to spread fake news.” He also tagged his wife in the post and apologised for the inconvenience caused.
Mansoor also took to Twitter and replied to the tweet saying that he can only laugh about the kind of news he is spreading and urged that family members should not be targetted.
He further said, “My wife is still alive and I can only send prayers your way for spreading such news.”
