KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday dismissed the plea seeking three-week time for issuing funds for a child needing bone marrow transplant and directed the concerned department to issue funds within a week.
A two-member bench of the SHC headed by Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar heard the plea filed by Sindh finance department for issuing funds for child’s treatment within three weeks but the bench dismissed the plea and directed the department concerned to issue cheque within a week.
The bench remarked why hurdles are being made if the Sindh Chief Minister has been performing well.
The CM Sindh had issued Rs2.9 million cheque for the girl’s treatment.
The SHC chief justice had taken notice after news were aired pertaining to a girl’s bone marrow transplantation. The patient is a daughter of Wali Muhammad who is an attendant at Johi’s civil hospital.
