KARACHI: At least two people, including a woman, were killed and several others injured in various violent incidents in the metropolis on Sunday.
Police arrested five suspects and recovered arms and other valuables.
According to police, a suspect stabbed to death his wife over a domestic dispute in Jaffar-e-Tayyar Malir area and escaped the scene.
Similarly, one person was killed and another critically injured in a firing incident in Rizvia area with police believing it to be a case of personal enmity.
In a separate incident, two women were injured in celebratory aerial firing during a wedding ceremony in Lyari Shah Baig Lane.
In Azizabad locality, two criminals were injured and arrested after an exchange of fire with police.
Further, several others were injured in separate incidents of firing and road mishaps in different areas of the city. Police also arrested three criminals during raids in parts of the city.
The bodies and injured were shifted to different hospitals of respective areas and the police after registering separate cases into all incidents at concerned police stations have started investigations.
