PTI leadership should resign for holding 18 undeclared bank accounts: Murtaza Wahab

KARACHI: Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister (CM) on Information, Law and Anti-corruption, Barrister Murtaza Wahab has demanded resignation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership for holding 18 undeclared and fake bank accounts and also the formation of a joint investigation team (JIT) to investigate the whole episode.

Talking to media persons outside the Sindh Assembly on Thursday, he said that the State Bank had fully exposed the PTI leadership while adding that it was interesting that some of the exposed government officials involved in illegal businesses had been elevated to senior positions.

Barrister Murtaza Wahab further said that the PTI leadership had been deliberately delaying foreign funding cases before the court but now the State Bank had laid all the facts bare.

He said that there was talk about offshore companies some time back, but when the companies surfaced, the PTI turned mute.

He also remarked that PTI’s U-turns were a disease and added that the party’s election symbol should be of a U-turn.

The provincial advisor added that gas load shedding had never occurred before but due to the PTI government’s inefficiency, the issue of gas shortage has become more complicated than needed.
