LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Wednesday seized thousands of kilograms of unpacked and unhygienic spices during separate raids in the provincial capital.
Director General (DG) of PFA, Muhammad Usman Younas said that the raids were conducted against sellers and suppliers of substandard unpacked spices in response to public complaints and tip-offs.
“Thousands of kilograms of unhygienic spices were seized,” he said.
Cases were registered against the suppliers and investigation was kicked off.
