KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s (MQM-P) Rabita Committee on Tuesday sent a notice to former party leader Dr Farooq Sattar over illegal use of the party’s name, electoral symbol and flag.
A party spokesperson said that Sattar has been using his party’s name to “seek attention”. He also warned that legal action would be taken if Sattar continues to do so.
Earlier, on 13th September last year, Sattar resigned as a member of the party’s Rabita Committee. He sent his resignation to party’s convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.
Later, a party meeting, held at the Bahadurabad office of the MQM-P, accepted Sattar’s resignation before issuing him a notice over alleged violation of discipline.
