LAHORE: As many as 47 persons were apprehended in a crackdown against kite flyers in different parts of Lahore on Sunday.
Hundreds of kites and spools of kite string were recovered from the detainees and cases have been registered against them.
The crackdown, which was initiated upon the orders of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Waqas Nazir, resulted in the arrest of several kite flyers from different parts of the city including Cantt Division, Model Town, Iqbal Town and Saddar Division.
