Rangers arrest three criminals from Malir

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Sunday claimed to have apprehended three criminals during ‘targeted raids’ carried out in Karachi’s Malir Model Colony.

According to a Rangers’ spokesperson, the arrested criminals identified as Najam Saqib alias Mani, Wasif alias Sono and Muhammad Bilal Khan alias Paratha confessed to being involved in various robberies including one that was carried out on 20 December 2018.

During the robbery, three men, identified as Mazaher, Syed Ahsan and Asad Awan were injured in a firing carried out by the suspects. Following this, Mazaher later succumbed to his injuries in a nearby hospital.

The spokesperson further said that “the accused had a property dispute with Syed Ahsan as they also looted Rs4,80,000 from Asad Awan”.

Rangers’ officials have appealed to the citizens to cooperate with them and immediately report any crime committed in their vicinity to the nearest check-post.
