Health Minister Aamer Mehmood Kiani, while chairing a meeting of the National Health Card Steering Committee on Sunday, said that the scheme would be expanded to the whole country.
He said that 30 million people would be issued health cards by 2020, thus facilitating those who are living below the poverty line.
He further said that the health sector is being given the top priority as per Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision and the ministry is working on improving the overall sector. The minister said that the budget of the health sector would be increased to ensure the provision of quality health services to the people and the disabled people would also be given modern health facilities.
“The ministry will utilise all resources for this purpose,” he said.
