Judicial remand of NBP official extended

LAHORE: An accountability court on Friday extended judicial remand of Usman Saeed, head of foreign

exchange section of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Lahore, for another 14 days in Rs. 3 billion embezzlement case.

The court directed National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials for producing Saeed on January 18, on expiry of the remand term.

Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Waseem Akhtar conducted the case proceedings. During the proceeding, the investigation officer assured the court that supplementary reference would be filed soon against the accused.

The arrested employee, Usman Saeed, worked at NBP’s Main Branch Lahore before getting arrested by the NAB.
