HYDERABAD: All students of the Sindh University (SU) are required to ensure at least 75 per cent attendance, a meeting was told here on Thursday.
As per details, an important meeting of the SU Deans Committee comprising deans of all teaching faculties and the varsity registrar was held at the vice chancellor office with SU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat in the chair.
The inter-audience was arranged with the specific agenda of mulling over state of readiness for the first academic session of the year 2019 which had kicked off a day earlier, to thoroughly review diverse dimensions of teaching-learning practice and academic management aspects, seek feedback and strategic input of deans and to devise flawless plan in the light of the interface to maximize the set learning outcomes, maintain prescribed quality paradigms and to ensure implementation of standard operational procedures.
The meeting discussed class timetables, in-time submission of earlier semester results by faculty, provision of the course outlines to students by teachers, strict adherence to at least 75 per cent classroom attendance by students, availability of all infrastructural amenities and other curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities calendar.
The deans also felicitated VC Dr Burfat upon significant varsity accomplishments in the previous year along with an optimistic note for further successes and the assurance of their fullest support and cooperation in all educational matters.
