KARACHI: On the request of jail police authorities, Sindh Rangers on Thursday conducted a search operation in Karachi’s Malir Jail.
During the operation, Rangers along with jail police searched the barracks of criminals involved in terrorist incidents and affiliated with banned groups thoroughly. They also checked the record of those who had visited dangerous and hardened criminals.
The operation continued for four hours. However, the law enforcers did not come across any banned material or suspicious activities during operation.
According to sources, search operations in jails are being conducted after the recent spate of terrorism incident in the megacity.
