TANDO ADAM: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Dewan Sachanand was sentenced to three years in jail on Thursday in a case pertaining to a bounced cheque.
This sentence was awarded as Judge Kamran Kalhoro heard the case. It has been reported that Sachanand was proven guilty of fraud. He had sent a cheque of Rs10 million to Seth Ayub Rajput which was bounced due to the absence of sufficient funds.
The MPA was arrested from court premises after the verdict was announced. He was elected for the provincial assembly from a minority quota in the July 25 polls.
