ACE provided Khokhar brothers’ assets details

The Excise and Taxation Department’s director general on Thursday provided the assets details of Khokhar brothers to the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE), a private media outlet reported.

Excise officials said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) MNA Shafi Khokhar and his brother, MPA Saiful Mulook Khokhar, owned three luxury vehicles each. Two were registered in Afzal Khokhar’s name as well.

Khokhar brothers have a total of seven properties in the province, however, the Khokhar Palace belongs to Afzal and Shafi Khokhar, the officials said.

“Saiful Mulook and Shafi Khokhar own 21 and 11 shops, respectively,” the officials said and added that Saiful Mulook also owned a two kanal godown on Multan Road. Another house in Samsani Town belongs to Shafi Khokhar.

The Supreme Court (SC) on December 29 had ordered ACE to complete its investigation against Khokhar brothers and register a case against all those officials of the Revenue Department involved in allowing consolidation of their land.

A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar was hearing a suo motu case against the illegal occupation of properties by PML-N MNA Afzal Khokhar, MPA Saiful Malook Khokhar and Shafi Khokhar.
